Putting Our Faith To Action

Faith without action, is mere belief. And while belief is a good and necessary thing, the action of faith is immeasurably powerful for both the one taking the action as well as the recipient. Just think back to the last time you helped out someone in need. Did you feel good afterwards? How about the last time someone bailed you out of a fix? That is God's Holy Spirit at work. And here at Mount Lebanon, we strive to do the Spirit's work everyday.

Our commitment to expand our missions efforts is proving to be both exciting and uplifting. We continue to support collection drives, while moving into activities that reach beyond our church. This commitment to walk in the footsteps of our Savior, has ignited a passion within our congregation for the service and caring for of others.

As Jesus has said, "Just as you did for one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me. " (Matthew 25:40). The opportunity to share and serve others is truly a gift that God has given us.

Examples of our ongoing missions include:

  • Food Ministry at Brandywine Community United Methodist Church (Food Closet and Lunches)
  • Meals at Ronald McDonald House
  • Neighborhood House Food and Clothing Collections
  • Sunday Breakfast Mission Service Days and Collections
  • Clothing Bank of Delaware Collections

Many will go their whole lives waiting to see a miracle. We at Mount Lebanon invite you to take part in one! No matter what talents you have (and everyone has them), God will put your gifts to good use. Stop by this Sunday and ask what you can do to help! Remember, it's not just about'll rejuvenate your soul in the process.
